Auburn Station Closing, L and N Notifies Town

R. B. Mize, agent 41 Years, Plans Retirement After Service Ends May 1

The L & N Railroad has notified the Auburn station that on May 1st the depot located here since 1858 will be permanently closed.

R. B. Mize, the present station agent, who is preparing  for the closing of the office, came to Auburn 41 years ago. Mr. Mize, who makes his home in Auburn, will retire with the closing of the office.

People wishing to take a train to Louisville or more distant points may call the office in Russellville to have the train stopped.
