Harrison 'Harry' Woodward (1816-1906):

Harrison Woodward or 'Harry' as he was affectionately known Was born on December 1, 1816 and died on November 16, 1906. Apparently he was a big man and everyone knew him as 'Uncle Harry.' He is buried in the Woodward Cemetery on Highway 103, north of Auburn.

He married Sarah Jane Keel and they had a "ton" of children, eleven in all as follows: James M., Robert M., William B., Nancy Jane, Henry H., Mary E., Samuel A., Thomas, Fannie, Belle & Hillary.

Harrison was appointed as Postmaster on May 13, 1862. This was only for a short period of time and was later appointed on July 19, 1869 until September 6, 1878.
