Who was Adrain B.
Hoskins?
Adrian was born in May 1925 and served in WW II. He was subsequently
killed in action on September 30, 1944 in The Netherlands. He was the son of
Howard and Ruth Hoskins. Ruth and Howard died in 1983 and 1984 respectfully and
are buried in Maple Grove Cemetery, Russellville.
Rick Mommers, who is
from the Netherlands has adopted Adrian's grave and is anxious to find out more
about Adrian and about any family that may still exist in the area.
The service that this
young man is providing in adopting graves of fallen heroes is wonderful. It
helps to preserve the history of our local service people. These are heroes that
we should never forget.

from relatives or anyone who know of the Hoskins family.

We in Logan County, Kentucky should be very thankful that this young man from

Dear Mister,
My name is Rick Mommers, I am 18 years old and living in The Netherlands. At the
American Military Cemetery in the town called Margraten (the Netherlands) I
adopted the grave of Adrian Hoskins, he was from Auburn, KY. He was fighting for
our freedom during the Second World War.
Incase you knew Adrian Hoskins; I hereby want to ask you if you maybe can help
me to gather more information about the soldier whom grave I adopted. I am
pointing on information like; how did he look like, where he lived, if he had
family, how he spent his youth, at what base he had his education, what kind of
division he was serving, where he was fighting, if he had
medailles and if there are relatives who are still alive and so on.
I would like to ask you if it is possible to help me finding an answer to the
above mentioned questions. Hopefully it is also possible to receive some
pictures of him and copies of some documents and maybe to correspond with some
relatives of Adrian Hoskins.
I really hope and appreciate to receive an answer on this letter. I was
searching on Internet and hoped to find some information about him, but
unfortunately without any results. You are my last hope to help me,
If the name Adrian Hoskins doesn't ring a bell, than
let me know so I can delete your address from my research list. It would be nice
to know more about the person whose grave I take care of and lay flowers.
