Notes for LLOYD S. HOWLETT:
In 1904: Lloyd S. Howlett began the Caldwell Lace Leather Company and manufactured the leather of the production of the tannery.  L. S. Howlett started in a small room on Main Street (Old Moody Building). His first employee was Mr. Jim Lively 

1930: L. S. Howlett purchased a large tobacco warehouse on Depot Street and moved his operation there.
